The John Wallace who is my ancestor was born in 1719, Grandtully, Perthshire, Scotland and died in 1780 in Little Dunkeld, Perthshire.

The John Wallace (b. 1709) and Jean Andrew had
James Wallace b. 1 Jun 1743, Kilsyth, Stirling.

James Wallace (1743) married Janet Bankier in Kilsyth, Stirling on 27 Jan 1770.

Janet Bankier was born 30 Oct 1743, Kilsyth, Stirling and her parents were James Bankier and Jannet Cuddie.

James & Janet Wallace had several children and all were born in Kilsyth, Stirling.

The name Bankier is sometimes written as Rankier in the records.

The John Wallace with the picture was born in 1719 (not 1709) in Grantully, Perthsire and died in Little Dunkeld in 1780. He is buried in Little Dunkeld Kirkyard.

I took this photo of the grave (of my John Wallace & family) in Little Dunkeld Kirkyard and that has been circulating on Ancestry as the John Wallace married to Jean Andrew. They are both someone else entirely.
